Megan J Shepherd, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
Welcome!
I'm all about individuals taking charge of their mental well-being and live life to the fullest. Whether you're feeling stuck in old patterns, overwhelmed by stress, or struggling with past traumas, I'm here to lend a helping hand.
My approach to therapy is all about creating a safe space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported. No judgment, no pressure—just a chance to explore what's going on in your heart and mind.
I bring a blend of techniques to the table, including talk therapy, EMDR, mindfulness practices, and creative expression.
I've worked with individuals dealing with everything from anxiety and depression to relationship issues and major life transitions. Whatever you're facing, know that you're not alone, and together, we can find a way forward.
Outside of the Counseling Office
I am a long-time hiker, skier, traveler, adventurer with a passion for sharing the joys of nature, healing, and growth with my clients. I enjoy practicing yoga and writing. I studied creative writing and in the past have worked as a freelance writer. I teach college writing through the University of Cincinnati and have led students on study abroad excursions to Sri Lanka. It is my passion to pull together my expertise and passion to be the best counselor I can be.
I also teach yoga to individuals and small groups—reach out if you would like to learn more. I will be offering retreats in the near future, with a retreat for women in Taos, New Mexico in February 2025 on the books!
